Victoria Information Session Dates

Public Evening Lecture: Thursday March 1^st from 12:30- 2:30 pm at Eaton Arrowsmith School, Victoria

During these information sessions, we will familiarize you with our school and the Arrowsmith Program, and give you some insights into recent research in the field of neuroplasticity. We are also very excited to share with you the results of our EAS graduates, who have all experienced dramatic cognitive growth, due to their time spend working on strengthening weaker cognitive areas of the brain through the Arrowsmith Program. You will have the opportunity to visit a classroom in the EAS cognitive program to see our students in action as they work to stimulate and strengthen their cognitive weaknesses. Following this visit to the classrooms, we will reconvene as a group for a question and answer period.

An Independent Future for Children with Learning Disabilities and/or Attention Disorders

Will your child be able to achieve independence, happiness and success with learning disabilities and/or attention disorders? Are you concerned that compensation techniques will be inadequate or that accommodations available in the school system will not be feasible when your child eventually transitions into college, university, or the workforce? A Solution for a Child Diagnosed with a Learning Disability and/or ADHD

For a child diagnosed with dyslexia, ADD/ADHD symptoms and other learning disabilities, EAS offers a solution with an end date rather than the lifetime of support usually prescribed. Students typically require individualized three- to four-year programs to improve their cognitive functioning so that they can successfully transition back into the regular mainstream environment with their peers. With improved cognitive functioning, students are then ready to effectively manage and comprehend academic content in mainstream public or private school classrooms. More importantly, students regain their confidence and return to school at their appropriate grade level where they can function with reduced, and in many cases without special education assistance or accommodations to aid previous weaknesses. Arrowsmith Program Offered at Private Schools in Vancouver, Surrey and Victoria, BC, Canada

Established in Vancouver by Howard Eaton in 2005, the Eaton Arrowsmith School is a private school located on the UBC campus (and now in Surrey, BC) that specializes in implementing the Arrowsmith Program for elementary school students and secondary school students with learning disabilities as well as academic and social struggles. There is also an Eaton Arrowsmith School in Victoria for elementary and secondary school students (with a few spots for young adults) and the Eaton Brain Improvement Centre in Vancouver for adults and young adults (19 years and over).
